I know there are many out there who do not believe in a creator being and of those who do there are many disagreements as to who he is and what he wants. If you have not already noticed I do believe in a God, though I can't say that I've ever met someone who shares the same opinion about him as I.
I believe that this God did in fact create the universe we live in and he spared not even the tiniest of detail for in my opinion there is no such thing as a small or large detail. The universe is a work of art, God is the artist and his great work spans not only space, but time as well.
Each and every person was hand placed by God himself and this all knowing God does not make mistakes. He has a plan and each of us are an integral part of this plan. If he has created a person that likes to play baseball then he has a damn good reason for having created this person and it is not for us to decide if baseball is a worthwhile activity or not.
You see God is all knowing, but we know so very little. To the untrained eye, ours, it might seem as though baseball is fun, but not productive enough to be considered particularly useful. The truth of the matter is that God has far more in mind than we could possibly comprehend. There is more at stake than what meets the eye.
Each time a ball zips through the air it has an affect on the surrounding environment. This ball moves the air, every molecule affected by this ball in turn interacts with the molecules surrounding it, a ripple effect. God's plan incorporates every detail and if he feels that these particular molecules of air need to be in a particular place at a particular time then I am inclined to believe him.
We cannot see the future, but God knows exactly what the future holds. We can look at the ball and look at the player and think that he's not doing anything useful, just throwing a ball around, but God can look at the ball and look at the player and see how this affects the entire universe. God wants the ball to be in a specific place at a specific time and he wants this for reasons that are well beyond our comprehension.
Each and every person has a reason for being, even the baseball player. God placed each person for a reason. God's great machine is perfect and works flawlessly when God is in charge. This is because God is all knowing, he sees all and makes not one mistake. To interfere with God's great plan, to try and take control of it yourself is a grave mistake not only for you, but for all.
To call the baseball player unworthy because you cannot see a reason for his passion, to try and stop the baseball player from performing the duty he was placed here to perform is to interfere with God's great plan. An attempt to make yourself into the one who decides who should do what and who should be where is an attempt to dethrone God and place yourself as King.
One is absolutely free to attempt such a thing, but this is the gravest of mistakes one can make and there is a punishment for those who try to dethrone God. God lays his wrath upon these offenders in the form of allowing them to commit their crimes against him. You see to mess with God's plan is about the dumbest thing one can do. The absolute worst punishment that can befall someone so daft as to try and become God is to let them succumb to their own foolishness.
We are free to elect our leaders and the smartest among us know there is but one place where your vote is safe and sound. I can vote for a person, someone who might have a good heart, but lacks the knowledge required to run a universe, or I can vote for the very being that created said universe and knows everything there is to know. I vote for God for only God knows where I need to be and what I need to do. Only God knows what will happen a billion years from now based on the actions I take today.
Only God knows where every atom is and why every atom is there. Only God knows. To place your life in the hands of humanity is to place your life in the hands of a mere child. To place your life in the hands of God is to know you will always be in the right place at the right time doing the right thing with the right people.
To give a greater reward to someone and a lesser or no reward to someone else is to use temptation as a means to convince that one thing is worth more to existence than another, but this is not true. It is the untrained eye that thinks one is worth more than another, God has a plan for all of us and if we did not need to be then we never would've been. To use temptation as a means to encourage one's own judgment and plans upon others is an attempt to place one's self as God. It is an attempt to place one's self as the designer of what should and should not be when God is the only one who knows exactly what should and should not be.
To kill or bring harm to another is an attempt to place one's self as God. We are not smart enough to determine who should exist and who should not. An attempt to place one's self as God is its own punishment. It matters not how smart we think our plans are, God's plans are better.
Every second spent following a fool is a second spent being a fool.
